Our Story

My Hair Journey

My love for hair started at a very young age. At just 13 years old, I began working in a hair salon as the shampoo assistant and braider. Being in that environment early on allowed me to learn the foundations of hair care, professionalism, and the importance of healthy hair practices.

Hair quickly became more than a skill—it became a passion. In high school, I braided all my friends’ hair and proudly collected my little coins along the way. Even then, I knew this was something I truly loved.

As I grew, I decided to further my knowledge by going to school, where I gained valuable entrepreneurship experience and completed my theory classes. This was a great experience that helped me understand not only hair, but business—how to build, brand, and sustain something meaningful.

After some time, I stepped away from working in a traditional salon and opened my own home-based salon studio. It was beautiful and deeply fulfilling. Having my own space allowed me to fully express my creativity and connect more personally with my clients.

Life later led me into my nursing career, where I developed a strong love for science, health, and caring for others. While nursing has shaped me in powerful ways, hair care is where my heart truly is. My background in health influences how I approach hair today—with intention, care, and a focus on long-term hair health.

Hair by Leneese was created to combine passion, professionalism, and healthy hair practices. I specialize in braids, weaves, and installs that are not only beautiful, but protective and thoughtful. Every client matters, and every style is done with care.
